Wycliffe's Scout Troop 493 is hosting their annual Spring Yard Sale on Saturday, April 27.

Support the troop with your purchases which support camping trips and other adventures!

Women of All Ages Sing!

Women Sing!

Gals of all ages are invited to join the choir gals in the music room at 9:45am on Sunday, April 28, to prepare a 'guaranteed-you-know-it' hymn to share in worship!   It's a great opportunity to get an entirely new view of church ;-)

Vocal Recital

Hannah Cayem, soprano

In a program of classical, jazz, and musical theater songs, soprano Hannah Cayem explores the female narratives of the Mother, Maiden, Huntress, Lover and Queen archetypes.

A graduate of the Ithaca College School of Music, she has performed with the Cayuga Vocal Ensemble, Opera Ithaca, Respiro Opera, and Opera Theatre of the Rockies, and is currently on the voice faculty of the Academy of Music, Norfolk, and beloved director of Wycliffe's children's music program.

Clear out the closet or buy new!

Yarn for Caps

Remember that great plan you had to knit caps, scarves, sweaters, etc for all your family?  How did that work out?  If you have a stash of yarn, here's a chance to put it to good use.  OR if you're a knitter (or would like to learn how), here's a chance!

​

Dotty is knitting caps for the Seamen's Society and will take that yarn off your hands OR share a simple pattern so you can knit caps.  (Recently 70 caps were delivered!)    Questions?  Contact Dotty or the church office.

Sundays during the Worship Hour

Children's Sunday School

Pre-schoolers through 5th graders leave the sanctuary after "children's time with the pastor" (about 10:10am) to enjoy Bible stories, activities & crafts. 

​

Nursery is available for infants & toddlers.  When you arrive, an usher will direct you to the nursery if you'd prefer your young child to start their time there - but all ages are always welcomed to be in the sanctuary with their family.

Back to School Blessings

Children, Youth, College students, Teachers & Administrators are invited to bring their 'backpack' to worship on Sept 10 for a special blessing from Rev. Bugg.

Our theme this year is "Together" for life is richer when we work together and care for each other!

Kids (1st through 5th grade) will enjoy singing, drumming, chimes, rhythm sticks, boomwackers, Orff, and more with Ms.Hannah!

You're invited to be part of "The Kitchen Forum" discussion class, led by Dave Carney, for a lively consideration of current events through scripture.  Offered in person at the church OR online via Zoom.

Bring us your PLASTICS!

Help Youth Save the Planet!!

Wycliffe's youth successfully gathered 500 lbs of plastic material to earn their first Trex bench for the church!   Now they're on their way to a 2nd bench, but 1000 lbs of plastics are required for #2.

​

Bring your items to church and deposit in the containers in the fellowship hall.  For example: newspaper bags, ice bags, store grocery bags, Ziploc & other reclosable baggies, bread wrap bags, inner cereal box liners, dry-cleaning bags, bubble wrap. (see the e-news for a complete list, BUT NO PLASTIC BOTTLES)

Help those in need

Deliver Meals

Wycliffe participates in the city's Meals on Wheels program by picking up prepared meals to deliver to seniors and disabled persons in the community.  If you'd like to be part of this team of drivers (or for further details), see Dohan or let the office know.  (757.496.2620)

It's a delight to see so many children ready for Sunday School!  Your help will be gratefully appreciated as a teacher, or a teacher's assistant this fall.
