Salad Bar Luncheon

August 28, following worship

Wycliffe' salad bar luncheon returns by popular demand!  Fill a plate with all the salad fixin's you can imagine and enjoy a delightful time with friends.  Adults: $5 each / kids eat free!  Don't forget to make reservations (a form will be in Sunday's worship guide on the 14th & 21st) or call the office at 757.496.2620.

Start the SchoolYear Off Right

September 11 / 10am

Bring your backpack, tote, or briefcase for a special blessing on Sunday, September 11 at the 10:00am worship service.  On that day we'll have an outdoor service under the pines behind the church.  (Bring a chair or blanket & enjoy this very casual time of worship.)

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and kick-off the fall season with worship under the pines accompanied by THE STEEL PENNIES with our own Greg Sowell on bass. All are welcomed to this casual time of worship, the "blessing of the backpacks" (bring your backpacks, totes, or briefcases for a special blessing!), and great fellowship as we worship in the beauty of nature.

Summer Meets!

Enjoy time with Pastor Bugg and other Wycliffe folks during these activities:

LUNCH with the PASTOR    (First Tuesdays of each month at 12:15p at an area restaurant.  Enjoy good food & fellowship!  Check the weekly emails for the restaurant & address. Sign up with the office to make sure you're on the email list!)

MID-WEEK ZOOM CHECK-IN   (Second Wednesdays of each month at 12:00noon.  If you're not 'out & about' this is a great way to catch up with Pastor Bugg & other Wycliffe friends!)

GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP (Third Thursday of each month at 3:30pm in person)  Open to anyone working through grief, this group offers support.  No talking is necessary. No one will tell you what to do, but sometimes it's nice to spend time with those who understand the challenge of loss.

HAPPY Half-HOUR (Fourth Thursdays of each month from 4:45-5:15pm on Zoom.  Stop by and share some 'happy news!

Adult Sunday School - Summer 2022

Wycliffe hosts two Adult Sunday School classes which meet at 9:00am Sunday morning in classrooms off the Fellowship Hall.

 

"The Forum" is led by Dr. Bill Austin, and "Faith Explorers," led by Bob Prestridge, are both on summer hiatus now through early September.  Check back for start-up info!

Children's Sunday School / Nursery

Children's Sunday School is offered each Sunday at 10:00am DURING THE WORSHIP HOUR.  (nursery is offered at the same time for infants through 4yrs) 

Pre-school through elementary ages begin worship with their family in the sanctuary.  Following the first hymn, children have a short time with the pastor, then are led into the Educational Wing where parents may meet them after the worship service ends.

Lots of opportunities!

Greeters/Ushers (be the first to meet those coming to worship on Sunday morning worship or for concerts & special programs.

Nursery Aides (miss little ones in your home?  Here's a chance to enjoy an hour with them again!)

Sunday School Teachers (regular or occasional duty available! for pre-k through elementary ages.

Worship Tech Team  (both Sound, Video & Sanctuary Set-Up/Decor - training is offered so no need to be an expert to start!

Song in Your Heart? (be part of the choir! which rehearses Sunday mornings at 9:30am

Mission Team Helpers  (Sort through and stack food boxes, cans, prepare bags for those in need, etc)

GENERAL help out with Sunday-after-worship refreshments, as occasional office assistants, address cards to shut-ins, assist with sanctuary decor, deliver flowers after worship to shut-ins, - and the list goes on!
