Nursery Caregiver

If you enjoy caring for infants through 3 yr olds, and are willing to complete first-aid and CPR-training (if you don't yet have certification), we have a place for you at Wycliffe!

Backpack Blessing

It's back-to-school time!

During the worship service on Sunday, August 24 - 10:00am, each child (and their backpack) will receive a special blessing plus bag-tag as a reminder of their church's care throughout the school year.

Shopping lists are available here or in the weekly e-news or in the church entrance area. OR contribute donations & the Service & Mission team will do the shopping for you, or use the donations to purchase $35 grocery gift cards which accompany each basket.

Calling All 3rd-5th graders!

First Communion Prep

All children in grades 3 through 5 are invited to take part in a preparation class on Saturday, November 22 to receive their first communion on December 7.

Please register by completing this form and you'll receive class materials in advance.

All middle and high school students are invited to an evening of delicious food as we move from house to house for great food & fun! Start from the church at 5:30p. (if you can make it, do let Ms.Betty know in advance)

Enjoy a time of friends & fellowship with the "Morning Adults" group. Meet on alternate Wednesday mornings for time to learn, grow, pray, laugh and share, led by Cathryn Cummings.

It's time to fill the sanctuary with poinsettias! If you'd like to place a poinsettia in memory or honor of loved ones, or just to add beauty to the space, please place your order by December 1.

Be 'Santa' to families in need. Take a tag off the tree, purchase the listed item, wrap it, attach the tag and place it back under the tree by Sunday, Nov 14. YOU can make a difference in someone's holiday!

Everyone is invited to decorate the church from top to bottom, inside & out for the Advent/Christmas seasons! Drop in between 9 and noon; there will be a job for you!

Ringing with Joy! - Dec 7 | 4pm

Va Handbell Consort

Ringing like you've never seen! Come celebrate the season with a joyous concert by the Virginia Handbell Consort featuring both sacred and secular holiday music, and don't forget to invite your friends and neighbors! It's FREE, but donations are always appreciated to support this and future concerts.

Youth Christmas Caroling

It's a most wonderful time of the year, and Wycliffe Youth will share holiday carols with shut-ins and assisted living residents following the handbell concert. Gather at the church at 5:30p and we'll do a little run-through of favorite carols and sort out the car-pooling! (Please contact Ms,Betty to let her know you'll be coming!)

Sunday School for All Ages!

Sunday mornings

Classes geared to Christian formation are available Sunday mornings for all ages: adults@9am, children meet while parents are in worship, and 6th & up gather after worship (and during that time 1st-5th graders can be part of Music-Makers! while parents are enjoying coffee & conversation in the fellowship hall).

"The Bible Project"

Feeling lost in the Bible? Explore the story of our faith through videos and discussion (and get a head start on this website on "The Bible" page linked above!). A great exploration of each book of the Bible as well as the literary styles used in its pages.

The adult class meets Sundays at 9:00am. All are welcome!

After-Worship Groups

Both Middle School Sunday School and Music-Makers meet after worship each week from 11:00-11:20am.

There activities are certainly different but both groups will have a great time learning new things & making friends while parents enjoy time in the fellowship hall with chat & snacks!

Help those in need

Deliver Meals

Wycliffe participates in the city's Meals on Wheels program by picking up prepared meals to deliver to seniors and disabled persons in the community. If you'd like to be part of this team of drivers (or for further details), see Dohan or let the office know. (757.496.2620)
